When Should I Disavow Backlinks?

Google's getting better at detecting good, high-quality backlinks. Bad, spammy backlinks will cause Google to deem your website as spammy too which affects its SEO and search ranking. Sites with a lot of bad backlinks will have their content removed from Google's ranking, leading to a drop in traffic.

What Happens During Link Disavow?

Disavowing a link sends a request to Google to disassociate bad backlinks from your website. When successful, the backlink will not be taken into consideration when the search engine algorithm determines your site's ranking in the search result.
